Imagine that you have been invited to have an intimate discussion with all of your favorite artists: a one-on-one show and tell. You can ask them anything, no holds barred, and hear first-hand the personal stories behind their artwork.
This is what you will find on the pages of "The Pulse of Mixed Media," where over 130 artists share their thoughts, feelings, and artistic creations in response to a series of questions about their art and experience as artists. And for one day only, this is what you can experience in person at Two Hands Paperie.
Join us for a panel discussion and meet author Seth Apter and contributing Colorado artists Sarah Fishburn, Lisa Hoffman, Fran Meneley and Marie Danti. The panel members will discuss their contributions to the book, answer audience questions, show samples of their art, share their personal creative process, and sign copies of the book. This will be an opportunity to have an insider's view into the heart and mind of the artists and is an event not to be missed.

I participated in a lovely project called Party Animals
All artwork was donated by 21 participating artists,
and the original pieces will be auctioned off on ebay
in the fall of 2009. The proceeds from both the auction
and from sales of the Party Animal zine will directly benefit the animals at A Place To Bark animal rescue.
The 43 page, full color zine includes reproductions of the pieces contributed by each artist, loads of information about A Place To Bark, a couple of How-To's,
a dog treat recipe, and more!

Free Art Party
You can get your copy HERE
All proceeds go to A PLACE TO BARK
to help the animals

In This Garden

The book includes a gallery of garden-themed imagery that readers can alter and use in their own collage work.

In THis House

In This House showcases the inspiring altered artwork of twelve leading mixed-media artists who came together during a collaborative art project sponsored by authors Angela Cartwright and Sarah Fishburn. Not simply an ordinary art - or artist's - book, this is a visionary exploration of the concept "home".
Each artist was asked to create five altered art rooms to complete an individual 9"x 12" 'house' that closes like a book or can stand in accordion style. Each house is a part of a larger whole; a neighborhood of twelve unique and fascinating art-full houses, varying in execution, theme, and style. The project explores the theme of "home," while at the same time, offering readers a bountiful visual collection of artwork and quotes as well as tips and techniques from the artists who participated. The back of the book includes a blank "house" template and a gallery of home-themed imagery that readers can alter and use in their own collage work.
Participating artists include:
Sarah Fishburn & Angela Cartwright, Nina Bagley, Jill Haddaway, Kelly T.M. Kilmer, Susie LaFond, Alice Scott Morris, Celine Navarro, Jen Osborn, Lesley Riley, CW Slade, Erika Tysse, Tiffini Elektra X.
